Originally from San Antonio, Texas, Ben Hackett is an award-winning composer of classical music. His music has been played internationally by a range of professional, student, and amateur musicians.

Ben is an adjunct professor of music theory at Trinity University and Accounts Manager for YOSA (Youth Orchestras of San Antonio). Serving as Programs Director for Pizazz Music, Ben has helped organize music seminars and workshops internationally for acclaimed conductor, author, and composer Diane Wittry.

Ben has degrees in Music Theory and Composition from the John J. Cali School of Music at Montclair State University in Montclair, NJ and Texas Tech University in Lubbock, TX. He has studied composition with Robert Aldridge, Joseph Turrin, and Peter Fischer.

Ben is also an active euphonium player. His primary teachers have been Dr. Kevin Wass and William Hess.

Ben is an avid fan of the San Antonio Spurs and the Texas Tech Red Raiders. He currently lives in San Antonio with his wife Rebecca Hackett.
